Privacy at Play Till Aurora
Most Aurora games do not need an account or a real-world identity. We try to use only what is needed to run the games, understand aggregate usage, maintain security and improve the service.

Imposter Junior
Imposter Junior is designed for players around ages 8–10. It does not require a child account. The game offers generated player nicknames rather than asking for a child’s real name.
- No chat or file uploads.
- No camera capture or microphone recording. Spoken clues are not collected.
- Multiplayer uses temporary room, player, role, vote, score and game-state information.
- Rooms expire automatically after inactivity, after being empty, or at the room’s maximum lifetime.
- Junior gameplay does not use Aurora’s behavioural Google Analytics.
Cloudflare and Railway still process the network requests needed to deliver, secure and operate multiplayer. Parents can also read the short Junior privacy note.
Information used during games
Multiplayer games use player labels or nicknames, temporary room codes and player/session identifiers. Depending on the game, temporary state can also include scores, roles, votes, answers, words and reconnect information.
This information passes through Cloudflare and Railway to operate the game. Most multiplayer room state is held ephemerally by the game server rather than saved to a gameplay database. Provider and security logs are separate, so we do not claim that every trace disappears when a room closes.
Analytics
Ordinary public Play Till Aurora pages use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate site usage. It may process the page visited, browser and device information, approximate usage information and selected interaction events.
Aurora application analytics are designed not to send player names, room codes, player IDs, reconnect credentials, answers, votes or free-text gameplay content. Junior gameplay is treated differently and does not load Aurora’s GA behavioural tracking.
Cookies and browser storage
Pages using Google Analytics may set analytics cookies. Cloudflare may use security and bot-management technology when handling requests.
Aurora games use localStorage or sessionStorage for things such as game state, reconnect details and preferences. Table Talk, while publicly available, uses a visitor identifier in browser storage to support its features. Browser information can remain until the game removes it, it expires, or you clear site data.
Service providers
- Cloudflare helps deliver and protect the public site and routes requests.
- Railway hosts game servers and supporting infrastructure.
- Google Analytics provides usage analytics on ordinary public pages where it is enabled.
These providers necessarily process network requests. Their logs and analytics data follow provider and owner configuration; this page does not invent a universal provider retention period or processing region.
Player-generated information
Some games allow nicknames, answers or feedback. Please don’t enter your full name, email address, phone number or other personal information into game fields.
For Junior: choose one of the playful generated names. Never type or share your real name, school, address, phone number or other contact details in a game.
How long information remains
Gameplay rooms are designed to be temporary and room state expires according to each game’s lifecycle. Some browser information can remain until it is cleared. Analytics and infrastructure logs may follow separate provider retention settings. Feedback and owner systems may also have separate retention.
There is no single deletion period that accurately covers every system.
Children and parents
Junior’s design minimises child information through generated nicknames, temporary rooms, no child accounts, no chat or uploads, and no Aurora GA behavioural tracking during Junior gameplay.
This description explains the product design. It does not claim that a parental-consent requirement is satisfied or make a legal compliance claim. See Privacy for parents at the Junior entry screen.
